Spousal Sponsorship

Did you know that reuniting families in Canada is one of the main objectives of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act? A Canadian citizen or permanent resident can sponsor their spouse or common-law partner for Canadian permanent residence. These applications can be submitted under two different programs – Outland Sponsorship & Inland Sponsorship. In some cases, spouses can apply for an open work permit while their application for permanent residence is in process.
