Visitor Visa

Canada is a popular destination for visitors. You require a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) in order to travel to Canada unless you are from a visa-exempt country. TRV can be issued for up to 10 years or up to the validity of your passport. Below are the requirements to apply for TRV:

• Must be healthy and may require undergoing a medical exam
• Valid passport, proof of identity
• Satisfy IRCC officials that you have strong ties to your home country
• Must satisfy IRCC that you will leave Canada at the end of your authorized stay;
• Should have sufficient funds for the duration of your stay;
• May require a letter of invitation from someone who lives in Canada.

You must make a formal request to IRCC if you wish to stay in Canada beyond the authorized period. If you are denied an extension, you must leave Canada immediately.
